This month over at scrapbook.com my partner, Donna, and I decided on a steampunk theme for the Pocket Letter swap hosted by Jess. As I told Donna when we were deciding, I have more steampunk items than could possible be considered healthy! And I assure you, what I used here won’t even be missed!

For the “metal” on the cards I used Amazing Cast Resin to pour onto the embossing folder. These had been done previously, which is why the process isn’t in the video. I picked up the technique a couple of years ago from Keren Tamir, but after all this time I don’t think I could find her video again!
My partners favorite flowers is the sunflower, but I didn’t have any of those laying around already made so I made some plain white ones, yellow! And her favorite color? Purple!
I love steampunk because part of it’s charm is being able to mix multiple metals! For me personally, I think steampunk needs at least two metal finishes, but 3+ is better!
